GU-RU means that which removes darkness or knowledge. Vayu represents Prana or Sadhana and samyamam. When knowledge and Sadhana come together, you are able to evoke the DIVINE or GURU- VAYU PURESAN. This can also be explained in terms of your body. Vayu represents your Jeeva which is awakened by Sadhana, and when you also acquire the light of knowledge, you become the abode of God ( your body is Guru- Vayu- puram, where Bhagavan resides).
