Hari om!why are most mythological stories extravagant and hard to believe?

If you are using the word “mythological” to describe puranic stories the usage itself is wrong. “Myth or subjective truth” is the opposite of “Sat or universal truth”. Puranic stories are in fact exaggerated, and great masters like Veda Vyasa have clearly said we should not take them in a literal sense. In fact, they are a mix of facts and fiction to teach us some fundamental truths on the purpose of life and how to achieve it through the stories of different individuals.
