Hariom Swamiji, I would like to get a clarification from your side that what is the importance of ‘kindi’which Hindus are using commonly in Pooja’s and in karkkitaka we are keeping water on this pot by putting thulasi why can’t we use some other pots please reply swamiji thankyou

Hari Ohm .kindi is a traditional brass vessel which have certain peculiarities which other vessels do not have. Since the water is taken through ‘mural’ water never gets contaminated and also you can observe that it helps in water conservation. These two attributes make it a superior vessel. Besides when we take water through the mural water from the bottom comes first ,making the flow from bottom to bot as in the case of energy flow from bottom to top. So kindi with all these superior attributes got a place in rituals and it was used in homes also ,in the near past
