Muhurthams are auspicious periods of the day determined by a particular alignment of cosmic bodies. It is important to concentrate on Manaporutham over jathakaporutham for a successful marriage. It was just customary to cook something Satwic when moving into a new dwelling. Boiling milk was a simple way to do it. It doesn’t matter how it boils.
It is important to focus on understanding the tatwams and teachings of the great masters than focusing on rituals and superstitions. Hari Om.
