There are too many questions in one question. Let me answer some. Any offering or Puja is done as a means to get rid of some negativism that has accumulated in the mind. The effect is happening in the mind also. Destiny is totally self created. There is no good or bad day. Every day is good day as long as your approach is positive. Hari Om is the universal mantra that removes all sufferings. Hari means remover and Om is the cosmic vibration. By saying it together you energize the Prana, by removing negativism and attaining positivity. Forehead is the seat of Agna. If you do Sadhana, by covering it with a bindi, you avoid any negative external influence to that area. Hari Om.
