Dear Savithri,
There are four kinds of people seek different things from God. Please Refer Bhagavad Gita Chapter 7 Slokas 16-17.
First category ( Aarthan) is the one who face difficulties in life and beg for peace and happiness.
The second category (Artharthi) is the one who begs for worldly possessions.
The third category ( Jignasu) is the one who seeks knowledge to understand the essence of God.
The fourth category ( Gyani) is the one who understands the presence of God everywhere and in everyone and seeks to reinforce their belief and enjoy the Balanced Mind.
Among all these the God says the Gyani is the highest and most liked.
