has an aatma any choice in entering the body of the next birth? i mean, after leaving a body,how long it takes an aatma for a re-birth? ..and is the choice of the next body at random?

If you live wisely, you can create a bright new life, if not, you can become the victim of a painful life too.
So your birth is in your own hands, parents are only giving a body (dress) for the mind.
