Humble pranams swamiji, Recently my father in law kept a lunch party for all our relatives in view of his 50 yrs of wedding anniversary. When my husband and I went for inviting my parents for same, my mother was not able to bear and she shouted at me and my husband saying that they also had 50th wedding anniversary and that none of us knew also about it and that they don’t publicize like my in-laws and so on. My husband and I felt v bad , actually it was my in-laws who spent for the party and we didn’t contribute anything. My mother said she will not come and that she has to go to Temple to read bhagawatham, to attend sapthaaham. Everytime at home she reads all these holy books, goes to temples , sapthaaham etc, but why is she behaving like this, she didn’t want my father to give any gift also to my in-laws. Only my father had attended the party, am much worried why my mother is so jealous and not broad minded at all. All our relatives had attended except my mother, I felt too bad swamiji. Pls tell me what is the use in reading all such holy books when no knowledge about that makes her follow it. Will she change , I really doubt if God exists, when I see such behaviour , I kept crying to God pleading him to make my mother attend the party, or at least accept to give the gift. But no use, she’s still the same. How can people be so bad, she dint even think of her own daughter, luckily my husband dint take it seriously, he’s so broad-minded. How can my mother change. Anyways she’s never going to listen to me, moreover I started hating her because of her bad thought and mind. Pls advise. Hari om
