i bow to the reverend Swamiji, i am a malayalee born n brought up in delhi, married to an army officer. presently we are in Kolkata where he is posted. my elderly parents in-laws (80 and 75 yrs, respectively) are settled in delhi and my widowed mother (65 yrs.) is settled in kerala. i have a son who is in his crucial stage of education… swamiji my mother who is a an ardent follower of yours’ listens to ur Narayaneeyam and Bhagavatham discourse bought me your discourse cds and asked me to listen to them regularly. And rightly so it gives me some kind of peace and inner strength. Swamiji, but somewhere i am unable to keep both sides of my family happy i feel. i want to take care of both the sides but am unable to do so. circumstances are such that things are not working aout the way it should and i am falling apart day by day. i know i should leave everything upon the God Almighty but being what i am its taking a toll on my mental peace. The thoughts of serving the elders itself is divine and only rare souls like thinking such noble thoughts.
But carrying regret is not only harming you; with negative thoughts also you are polluting the surroundings with negative energy.
So think of the solution, talk to your parents with inspiring and courageous words; that itself will become a more positive service rather than your presence.
