I did my best to keep my mother happy & comfortable. She was contended & happy. But there were times when I shouted at her & hurt her. She did not reveal that she was hurt but I could sense it. Now my mother passed away very recently one early morning as I dozed off. Now I feel guilty, pained that I hurt her. I feel I shld have taken better care. Had I slept near her on the fateful day she would not have passed off as she had walked upto wash room & collapsed there. What’s the way out? Iam unable to come to overcome this state of mind. I’m agitated, depressed but can’t show it off to outside world. Pl help.

Hari Ohm . Regret is also good provided that you learn something from that. Now take a commitment that when you see elders you will make them happy with your words and actions. When you sincerely practice this your mother’s soul will ever be happy and you will be blessed. Mere regret and sense of guilt will not only make you depressed but also make your mother’s soul unhappy. So every day get up early morning and chant ‘Ohm Narayanaya’ 108 times and visualize your mother’s smiling face and request her to give strength to make elders happy. This will bring blessings from your departed mother.
