Dear Ramya,
This reply answers many questions from you.
The real follower is the real devotee of the Lord.
He will never leave his duty till he or she establishes in that.
When Arjuna requested Krishna to allow him to leave for Himalaya, he emphasized (in Geeta) on the responsibility.
To become a follower is very easy.
But what way we can work for the society – that fully depends on your knowledge and ability.
It is like knowing the destination before starting the journey.
So, pray to the Lord to make a positive, committed and dedicated “Sevak” for the society.
