I wanted to know about the meaning of Shivling. What is the structure all about ?

All idols are symbolic, that they represent human mind and its potentials.
Siva means Paramathma (unless you listen at least to a Sapthaham you won’t understand the true meaning of this word).
Linga means manifestation; that represents our mind which is the manifestation of Paramathma.
