In our scriptures we fond that Indra, the king of Dewas, never allow anyone, including sages like Vishwamitra to perform yagas because of his fear of losing his position in the Heaven and hence does all sorts of tricks to dissuade people from doing the Yagas.Performing yagas, per se, cannot be considered bad especially if it is done with a selfless motive.Swamiji, can you kindly enlighten me on the symbolism contained inthis

Dear Muralidharan,
Indra represents our doubting intellect. Whenever we do any action/karma, the mind suspects the result. That shows that the mind will never have complete involvement in our action. Mind can experience whatever it does, only when it sincerely involves 100%. In Bhakthi and Meditation, mind can involve 100%; so Indra (doubting mind) can not influence or disturb those thoughts.
