In the context “I am not the body mind and intellect and I am the pure consciousness” I feel pain when I get hurt. How can we say it is unreal and same time I feel the pain. Can you please explain Swami?

Dear Suresh,
When our existence is identified with the body alone, our true nature as the SELF is forgotten.
The body definitely has hunger, thirst, pain, pleasure etc.
But understand, when you are very much focussed in your work you forget your hunger!
Similarly, when the mind is focussed on the Lord, you forget your bodily problems.
It is truly possible; that was why Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi could transcend his severe pain.
Divinity was shining through him always!
As you go deeper into your self, beyond the layers of mind and intellect your true SELF is experienced!
Hariom!
