is ahimsa practicable in this world. What about mosquitoes bed bugs etc. Is destroying them is treated as himsa.

Ahimsa is actually a state of mind or attitude where you are well rooted in peace.
In nature, you can always see animals killing one another. But it is not intentional with a criminal or revengeful attitude.
