Is it right to do Karkidavavu Balitharpanam in one’s home? Or is to be done on the banks of river/beach? Thanks

It is the attitude, love and honour that matters; not the place.
If you can go to the river side it is better as water represents the life and the flowing river represents the flow of life through generations.
