If you watch traffic from a high building it is beautiful. But if you are “in” traffic it is horrible!!! Same with life experiences. No one has an “all good”or “all bad” life. Both good and bad experiences pass after sometime. When we do something or live life we are always looking for a positive return. It is very important to know negative returns are also bound to happen by the very nature of the universe. Living with that awareness itself will reduce disappointment when things do not go too well or the way we wanted. The next step is to maintain your inner strength and not succumb to the experience. That is where the role of devotion or prasadabudhi comes in. Take it as Bhagavan’s decision. Chant “Narayanayethi samarpayami”. Let Bhagavan be in charge of your life. Let all your actions be something you do for HIM.Pray for a long life. Everyday, try to do one good thing, no matter how small it is. And do not expect anything in return for your good deeds. Eventually you will learn what virakti is. Hari Om.
