My humble pranamams Swamiji. I’m a homemaker with 3 grown up children. I have been an ardent follower of your prabashanams and i must say that it has given me guidance in managing my problems in life. I have also started reading the bhagavad gita daily and understanding it in a way to relate to my own life experiences. Reading the Gita and associating with like minded ppl gives me peace of mind like never before. But my question is, to maintain this peace i feel i have to avoid the company of some ppl including siblings at least for now, for they say im keeping aloof, i shouldnt be so, and should join in what they perceive as social fun. I am happy in my own quiet path, but sometimes it hurts to hear their negative comments when i meet them. Please advise how to deal with such situations. Hari om .

You should learn how to live from the life of Krishna himself. A lot of people think being spiritual means avoiding pleasures in life, relations, staying away from laughter, being serious always etc. Look at Krishna…he was friends with the simple, illiterate Gopikas, but a King maker on the other end. He sang, danced, did silly things, but also planned war strategies and advised the Bhagavad Gita. This balance of being able to do everything to the extent that is needed, without being entangled in anything, is real spiritual growth. Social life demands some involvements which we may not be too happy with, yet, you should be able to handle it with grace. See Krishna in your siblings, asking for your company. Then you will be able to enjoy with them. Being able to see Krishna in everything you involve with, is also spiritual maturation. Hari Om.
