My mother and wife are always fighting for my attention and I am unable to satisfy them both since satisfying one displeases the other. My primary responsibility is towards whom – wife or mother? I want both to be happy but am helpless. Kindly advise.

It is all your expressions with both. When you are with mother, listen to her with a smiling face and loving touch. And when you are with your wife, never talk about your mother and talk about her and admire her family. Be wih her and give her a strong,deep hug.
