namashkar Guruji, The purpose of a flower in a plant starts from providing honey to bees & insects, leading to pollination, turning into vegetable, fruit and then to seeds leading to propagation of that plant. But people of almost all religions, snatch the new flowers and offer it to their deities … Is it necessary? Will we people allow a cat or a bird to enter our house and eat away the food prepared by us for our livelihood?

Dear Antony,
An intelligent person does not require flowers to show his devotion to God. But, an ordinary emotional person needs these kinds of rituals.
We foolishly think that everything in this earth is created for us to enjoy.
Just like all other beings, we are also one among God’s creations. But, we consider ourselves to be intelligent and try to rule and control nature and its other flora and fauna. We never try to understand their lives.
Just like human bodies, bodies of animals and plants are metabolically made up of cells. They also need air, water, heat, food etc. to live, just as we do. They also have their own minds, just as we have. Emminent scientist Dr. J.C Bose had proved that even plants have mind.
Still, we can say that we are superior because our mind alone has the potential to realize God.
To achieve that, we need a sharing and caring mind. A selfish person’s ego will not allow him to realize God.
Hari Om!
