Namaskar Swamiji, I met someone today, who used to listen to a lot of Sapthaham and was totally surrendered to Bhagavan.After many years, when I spend sometime today,I saw a differernt attitude in the person. She is afraid, that she is taking to escapism by just taking things as they come, but continuing to do her share of all responsibilities. Can you give more clarity on total surrender and escapism. Dear Miraji,
Surrender is not escapism.
When you justify your inaction (laziness) by lame excuses, it is escapism.
When you take up responsibility and initiative with a prayerful mind, without DEMANDING a good result, it is surrender.
For example, taking care of every thing like a maid servant (that is, without feeling of ownership and possessiveness) is surrender.
There, the Lord is the true owner.
Not caring about any thing is escapism.
The nature of mind is wavering; so at any stage a Sadhak can undergo such a wavering.
But, the intelligent one will again come back and cling on to the Lord only.
