Any action comes with consequences. You have the right to marry anyone, as long as you can deal with the consequences of such a marriage. Understand marriage is a commitment for life. Plus you will also bring innocent children into the equation. If the family and society opposes it, do to have the courage and patience to stand by your decision. Only then you should do it. How committed is your partner? Are you financially stable? Write down all the pros and cons of such a marriage on a piece of paper and make an informed decision.
