Namaskaram Swamiji, I used to recite kandha shashti kawasam everyday at 6pm after lighting the sandhya dheepam, this song comes in TV and I sing along with it. But my friend told that we should not recite that as in the song it says to free us from diseases and asking God for good health and wealth. We are not supposed to ask God anything itseems that’s what my friend told, so it’s not good to recite kanth a shashti kawasam it seems. Is this true or not Swamiji!? I am so confused. Pls advise, cant we ask God for good health and well being? Is it wrong to ask? Pls advise Swamiji. Hari Om

A lot of keerthans have lines asking for health, wealth, well being and protection. There is no harm in singing anything. But the important thing is to know Bhagavan already knows what you need and will be given to you as is needed. Hari Om.
