Namaskaram Swamiji !! I would like to understand how to deal with office politics. i continoulsy feel that even after putting efforts I am not getting due recognition for my efforts and also I have seen continoulsy that my manager fail to appreciate me or ignore me . This really demotivates me . How will I try and grow in such situation. I understand politics prevails in every organization. Even colleagues play politics and try quash others to show their superiority. For me job is the only way to survive I dont have anyone to depend on rather anybody who can help me. It is vital to know why you do, what you do? Is it for survival, for proving your ability, for money, for appreciation or just for the internal feeling of self- worth. I know job security, money, status etc are important for you. But you are giving too much weightage to something that is not important at all- “a pat on the shoulder”. A lot of people get frustrated because they do things for the world to appreciate. Such people will soon be depressed. Everything you do should be for your feeling of self worth and satisfaction. There is only one competition for you- yourself. Are you slightly better today than you were yesterday, on all aspects? If you are, give yourself a pat on the shoulder. As you become bold like that, all the appreciation you need will automatically come your way. Hari Om.
