Dear Nimmy,
According to Indian philosophy, the realized masters recognized that life is a journey from a source, going back to the same source.
They realized that the body developed from 5 elements (pancha bhootha) and it is existing because of the same and will go back to the same “pancha bhootha”. Similarly the mind als wants to go back to it’s own source which is called “Chaithanyam”. Unless and until the mind reaches the source, it has to take different life times in different bodies. Regarding rebirths, we are very much sure that today what we are is the product of what we were yesterday!
