Namaskaram Swamiji, What is the difference between “nivedyam” and “Annam(my own meal)” as both are given to brahman by one or the other way
Posted by Saji on April 23, 2013
Nivedyam is offering to the Lord first and then accepting it as Prasad.
If you honour and accept your usual meal like Nivedyam, then there is no difference.
The philosophy behind Nivedyam is very profound.
Usually we give more importance and time to our relations and other worldly matters.
We give less importance for meditation.
Then the sacredness and quality of our life decreases.
If we give prime importance to the Lord within, our life becomes sacred like Nivedyam offered to Bhagavan.
