Namaste Guruji, I have been watching your prabhasham everyday on Surya TV since a year now.I live in USA. I don’t speak malayalam but your explanation is very simple to understand. I am blessed to come across this show & special thanks to you for widening my spiritual knowledge. In one of the episode your discussion was about what happens when we sleep & how we forget our body consicous- could you briefly explain about what happens when we sleep.
Posted by Shantha on January 16, 2011
Dear Shantha ji,
The mind which is the bundle of thoughts, including informative (Bhudhi), emotional (mind), possessiveness (I & ego) and memory (chitham) are completely withdrawn from the body (brain cell) and enters into an unconscious state. That moment you loose complete body consciousness and we call it the state of sleep.
Now please think/understand that the mind (all the thoughts) is not part of the body that is why it can detach from the body.
Now the question is who is maintaining the thoughts in the body, that is the real spiritual enquiry. Our Sashtra and experienced masters says that it is the consciousness (god)
Hari Om.
