Namaste Guruji, Request for clarity on the story of Ahalya in Ramayanam. Indra has infatuation on Ahalya and uses disguise as a tact to get close to Ahalya. It is appropriate that he got a curse from the sage. But, Ahalya was cheated upon. There was no fault of hers. Why was she punished for no reason? She believed that the disguised Indra was her husband. Sages are considered to be filled with wisdom and patience. Why then did he punish his wife so harshly? What was her mistake? Regards, Divya

Even when some body comes in disguise she should have observed him closely.
When husband is going to take bath and the mood he had kept, she should have observed.
She could have observed the gestures of the other and discovered the truth.
Your doubt is so true to the present society; many fall in the sentiments of others.
But those times the ladies were equally powerful in their mental capacity.
Gautama cursed her not out of that redness but out of compassion that she has to develop a mental observation that she didn’t .
A Sage’s curse is a blessing in disguise.
