namaste Swamiji, my 3.5 year old daughter was asked to take blessings from elders by touching foot. she did that and she wanted us to take blessings from her. we told always elders will bless younger ones. she is asking why should only elders bless? how should I answer?

We have to understand the mindset of the little one who wants to give you her blessings. Children are just Divine and all she wants is to give you something good as her blessing. Why don’t you let her bless you? As she grows up she will realize adults deserve respect for having experienced life over you and so you surrender to them. But for now, let the child be a child. Just tell her blessing is the way of elders to show how much they love and care for you, and if you love and care, you can bless too. Hari Om.
