Namaste Swamji, My Humble Pranams to you!!! Kindly excuse me if my below question is silly. In Gita, second chapter , sloka 47 (Karmanye vadikaraste), starts speaking about the right to do duty without worrying about the fruit of action. The slokas from 47 to 50 describe the same. How we have to be in equinamity and do karma whether physical, mental or spiritual. The message is clear and it gives a lot of clarity. But in today’s corporate world, all the actions are based on ROI(Return of investment). Even before we start the work, the question asked in what is the ROI? . Here the investement in terms of time, energy and money. The concept of ROI stresses employees and leads to failure many times. What is your opinion on this swamiji ?? How should be we viewing this ??? Kindly pardon me if my question is silly.

Your question is absolutely right, but it is only a slight tweak in the concept you need. All efforts should be done aiming at the highest ROI, whether your investment is time, money or other resources. Worrying about ROI does not bring good results and is absolutely unnecessary. However, despite our best inputs there are several factors in the world that manipulate the results. So we should have a mind set to accept the outcomes with balance and poise. You have authority on your best work, but not on the best results always, because the very nature of the world has success and failure built into it. That’s all. Hari Om.
