Jivatma is the manifested conscious energy in the form of thoughts.
Chaitanyam is the source of Jivatma .
During Prana Pratishta the priest energizes the idol with positive energy so that the devotees can feel the presence of divinity more in the temple.
In fact Chaithanyam neither comes nor goes.
It is ever there in everything.(Thoonilum Thurumbilum ellam….)
