Namasthe, In christianity it is said if we repent sincerely any sins done by us they are pardened. What is the meaning of it according to Vedanta? Regards, Shaji

Dear Shaji,
Life is a science. No one is sitting above to pardon our sins.
When an action is done, good or bad, time is born and it will bring the result. Once you are born, it is time, which is leading your life through aging to death. No God can stop this. Similarly, time will bring us the results of our deeds.
When some one repents for his bad deed, he develops a positive mind to accept the result as his own responsibility and develop strength to face it. He also learn from the experience that if he does good he can reap good. But, if he does a bad deed, the mind will kill him with guilty consciousness and no God can stop the result; he himself has to bear the consequences.
Hari Om!
