This is a deep rooted misunderstanding that one should not desire for result.
What it means is that, when you do some thing focus on the present moment and do it perfectly with sincerity and attention.
Then the result will be definitely good.
So, always keep your mind in the present, not in the past or future.
It will save your mind from regret and anxiety.
