Respected and Dear Swamiji, First of all pranamams on your feet.I am resident of palakkad.Today,may 12th 2015,I am blessed to get anugrams from you.In one of your books(How to be a true Hindu),you have said that our Rishis,through their spiritual discoveries and discussion with their disciples codified upanishads. My question is how they discovered?I have heard that through sruthis said by god they have written upanishads.I dont know whether it is correct or not.Please clarify my doubt.Thank You. I am daily reading ur answers.Excellent.U answered for spiritual progress good thoughts,selfless acts,japam,dhyanam are reqd rather than satvic food.SWAMIJI how to avoid bad thoughts and develop good thoughts?

Sathwic food is an addition in the spiritual evolution. Thoughts cannot be good or bad. The intend and volition behind the thought is what makes it good and bad. So always focus on good intentions for yourself and others. HariOm!

Thank you Swamiji. Can you please quote the name of some women scholars in Vedas? Because I was told that reciting Vedas which is based on Shabdhasasthra requires enormous amount of energy and that is injurious to the health of the Uterus which is a delicate organ. Is it true?

The well known female scholars and sages of the Vedic age are Vac, Ambhrni, Romasa, Gargi, and Khona. These highly intelligent and greatly learned women, who chose the path of Vedic studies, were called ‘brahmavadinis’. HariOm.

Hariom Guruji, Sorry to send a late note about camp of VIVEK CHOODAMANI in Bhagavatham village. The whole camp programme was superb. It was like a very delicious meal with variety of items. From morning 5.30 A.M. upto 9.00 p.m. it was like a flow of variety of events which is impossible to forget. I and my friends enjoyed all the programmes thoroughly and thanks for every thing. We had excellent feedback from parents about the kids camp. We will try to do more as time allows. Chalakudy is not far from Ernakulam, so your daughter can participate in the camp at the village. Moreover it is a residential camp to give maximum benefit too the children. HariOm.

Swamiji namaste, I want to know something which comes to mind very often. These days it seems everyone is after spiritual progress. May be because there is so much tension, stress everywhere in relationships , at work, everyone wants peace. But scenario is this that there are so many schools but everywhere one needs money to learn spiritual practices. Spiritual knowledge is made so available for people that if one have money they can do course one after another.The process of guru disciples relationship which was there before has vanished. If you join some school you can’t even acess the guru who is surrounded by only the team taking care of the work of that school. You can’t go near guru can’t touch feet no one to one talk. Do we get the real essence of spirituality then.The real reason for what we go.To get rid of our vices. The cause of our problems in this world. can we get rid of our bad karmic action and mend our spiritual aspect. Is it possible for us to acquire the state mentioned in ashtawakra gita or bhagwat gita by adapting spiritual practices, kriya,meditation taught. I am actually asking can we attain moksha in this incarnation by seriously following the practices taught and what if we can’t acess guru directly. please help me understand

You have asked a good question. In fact, more than the physical presence, it is the ‘shradha’ or attentiveness to the Guru’s instructions or advices and how you apply it in your life that really matters. Guru points you to the right path, and you have to start walking yourself.
