Dear Swamiji,I am regular listoner of Asianet. I feal very relaxed. If one day I missed the Pgm also I feal very disturbed. It very wonder full mind rejuvenating pgm. Thank you so much for the explanations you are giving. May God give you good health and dheerkayus. Pranamam swamiji. I have a mind disurbing problem, i.e my daughter is not concieved. Already 3 years over after the marriage. They are very happy couple. Only thing they are not having any physical relations. I Humbly request you what is the pariharam for this.

My father expired on 1/8/13 . I am the only daughter. I didn’t do any karmams ( didn’t put bali for the 16 days). As I have no body to help me to do that bali poojas , I didn’t do it. What is the next step I want to do? Please give me answer immediately.

Bali is not a mandatory ritual, but it is observed for sharing respect and homage to the departed. Even by keeping their photo and just reading “Ramayanam Jadayu Gathy” (Aranyakandam ) is more than enough. A true father will never curse you for your ignorance. HariOm!

Dear Swamiji, I finished my graduation. I want to study further. I have some health problems. Due to this I’m not able to take up many courses. I decided to take up CA and I registered for the course. I don’t know what is happening to me… I don’t feel like studying or doing anything for that matter. I’m becoming very lazy. I’m not able to overcome that. I have heard that planets can influence our mind. Is this because of that? If that is the case then what am I supposed to do? And I’m losing confidence. I have this fear that CA being a tough course whether I would be able do it successfully. I don’t know what to do. Would prayers and constant remembrance of God help? Please advice. Thank you!

You are spoiling your own mind, not the planets. If you can divert to positive thoughts, you can save your mind from damaging your life. Practise regular pranayama for 30 minutes and recite 21 times long AUM every morning before 6 am and see the changes. HariOm!

namaste swami.. is it possible for a non-brahmin to attain brahma jnanam? and i feel difficult to achiev a goal without attachmnt towards it…but gita says one shuld not get attachd to anythn… waitn fr ur reply…

Dear Respected Swamiji, Myself and my family are blessed to have attended the last day of Bhagavata Sapthaham, in Maryland in Sri Siva Vishnu Temple, in August, 2013. One of my friends, Dr. Krishna Kumar, informed me about the event. Later, I came to you after the concluding ceremony and wanted to ask a question. I started explaining the background of the question when some one else came in and diverted your attention. This question has been in my mind for a long time. The question is why our ancient acharyas, while focusing their entire energy on developing techniques for spiritual exploration, never focused on developing scientific or engineering technologies ? For example, Sayanacharya had mentioned that sun light travels 2202 yojanas in half a nimesha which is close to the velocity of light measured scientifically presumably in last century. The current remote sensing techniques uses this knowledge extensively. Like that there are several examples. Bhagavan Sri Veda Vyasa’s Navagraha Manthras are other exmaples, I guess. I had contacted, Sri Nanda Nandana Dasa of Michigan (Stephen Knapp, ISKCON) with this question. The answer I received presumably meant that it was due to foreign invasion that further exploration did not take place. But I had difficulty in agreeing with that opinion. The only logical answer that I am getting is, that our ancient acharyas never wanted to disturb the nature for the sake of luxury, money or any worldly pleasures. Probably they knew there is immense immeasurable pleasure in realizing GOD. Also, the yogic techniques that our ancient Acharays developed were sufficient to explore the entire Universe without having to depend on scientific or engineering technologies. For example, our greatly respected Acharya Sir Shankaracharya could establish mathas on four diametrically opposite frontiers of Bharat. Sri Shankaracharya might have accomplished this not by walking from one place to the other, but might have used some other yogic techniques to move from one place to the other. Am I correct ?
