HariOm! “Gana + Pathi =Ganapathi”. Gana means group (which means the mind, breath and heat in the body). Pathi means ‘the one who holds these in your body’, that is the real Ganapathi. So the Vedas call Ganapathi is the ‘Brahmam or Atma ‘ in every one.
