Dear Vinodji,
Lingam, according to our Scriptures is a sign of manifested truth.
It represents the world (including our body); before the scientists discovered that the universe, earth and everything are in an oval shape, our fore fathers discovered that everything is like an egg.
The egg itself has no consciousness, when it is associated with Siva (conscious energy) it is attracted.
So “Siva linga” means you ( mind and body which was there in the womb of your mother like an egg) is the manifestation of God
(conscious energy called Siva ,that makes you auspicious).
HariOm!
