Dear Narayanji,
The jivatma is none other than the mind which forgot its source and started getting attracted towards this world for pleasure and strength. (like the children forget their responsibility and get attracted to the TV).
As we can change our character similarly the mind which is attracted in this world can turn towards the divinity within.
The strength and time which one takes decides how long one needed to attain God.
Understand for our all ups and downs, we are responsible, not any other force.
