Poojya Swamiji, According to Hindu Dharama you need not ask anything to GOD,he knows very well what we want and give only what we deserve.Swamiji,but in other religions they are asking GOD for all the material well being through a Saint and even major critical illness are getting cured.How can this happen ?

Dear Hemalekha,
Hindu culture is not worried about the physical illness. Our masters were concerned about the mental tranquility. Our religion is not compassionate, but making the mind courageous. When Bheeshma Pithamaha was lying on Sharashayya (bed of arrows) Krishna never showed any compassion , instead HE respected the strong and powerful mind of Bheeshma. He never complained about the physical pain, instead he sang the glorious hymns of the Lord ie., Vishnusahasranamam.
To get that strong mind, mere prayers and meditation will not help you; we have to surrender our mind by our selves and experience that.
