Poojya Swamiji, All our epics have been written by various Rishis. How can a person narrate each and every instance so clearly when that person was not present in that situation. It is really confusion after we try to understand it deeply. It really looks like stories our Rishis are trying to tell just like Rabbit and Tortoise story. We all know it is only a story told to pass on a morale. Is it true in case of our epics too.

Epics have adopted historical figures but definitely has subjective stories in them as well. They are narrated, as you said, with an intention of making complex spiritual principles easy of the common man to understand. When you finish reading any book the question that is relevant is “what did u gain from it”? Same applies to epics. It is the knowledge we gain from them that is important.
On another dimension Rig Veda explains complex galaxies not visible to human eye with much precision. Modern scientists are just identifying those with powerful telescopes. They saw, but not with their external eyes, for if your inner eye opens the whole existence can be grasped in your awareness. Hari Om.
