Poojya Swamiji Namaste, We too have four small Salagrams in our home which was given to me on an Amavasya day years back alongwith Tulsi leaves. My husband offer Water and Milk Abhishekam and offers Tulsi / flowers and we offer Milk Naivedyam. Some days we are not able to do Pooja. Yesterday he asked me to do the Pooja. But I didnt do. Swamiji can I too do Pooja? Are the Salagrams to be placed on rice? Once you had written to keep the Salagramams in water, which will then get energized and we can drink it – Can I also have, can I also offer to my son (who has been medically identified as a Hyper active child). Kindly guide. Salutations to the Great Soul! Thanking you, Lekshmy

Dear Lekshmi,
Salagram is a stone which contains lot of positive energy. According to Lord Krishna, you can feel god’s presence where there is positive energy(Bhagavad Geeta 10th chapter, last sloka). Salagram radiates more energy when it is in water and that water has lot of medicinal value. It is good to drink that water.
Even ladies can do pooja .The biggest salagram is kept in Mukthinath, Nepal. I have seen ladies doing pooja there.
Hari Om!
