Poorna Pranamam, Guruji, After a break of 4 years, i.e. demise of my beloved wife, I visited Sri Guruvayurappan to participate in Sapthaha Yagnyam. It was a great experience and a lot convictions that the holy land is blessed with “Prathyaksha Chaitanyam”; that we can even experience with our’mamsa chakshus’.( I couldn’t digest the sudden presense of Garuda when the idol was nearly to dip in water’, that also at an odd hour-1.30 p.m) This reinforces the sloga of Gita xii,3. Pranamam…& sincere gratitude for initiating daily notes on Srimad Bhagawatham in this website..

Dear Krishnakumarji,
Thank you for your mail.
If you observe a Garuda, you will notice that it can fly to very great heights and within seconds come very low to the ground too.
It can traverse very wide circles, still glide onto even a very small object in such a short time.
Now observe your mind; the same is true with your mind too.
It can go around the entire universe in a fraction of a second. It can go out to the Sthoolam and go in to the Sookshmam.
That means, Garuda is a symbol of our mind itself.
Like Garuda, the vehicle or carrier of the Lord, our mind should also carry Divinity.
(Now, you know what GarudaGarvaBhangam means).
How beautifully our Masters encapsulated great Truths in symbols! So, even if Garuda comes or not, our minds should be present where the Lord’s glory is narrated.
HariOm!
