Pranaam Guruji, As a woman in household, what are the practices one should ideally follow at home from early morning to night. Like what time to wake up, prayers etc. Can you please guide us all with a schedule and hopefully we all follow it this new year and bring positivity in our and our family life.Hari Om!!

One schedule may not fit everyone. You should be able to find out what works best for you. But as a lady of the household, the examples you set is what your spouse and children will see. Children are like sponge. They imbibe things from their surroundings, much more than we realize. So, it is very important for a mother to be a good role model. Try to wake up before sunrise, do yoga for 15 minutes and namajapam for 15 minutes at least. If you have more time you can extend it. Bring healthy and hearty meals to the table. In the evenings, when everyone is home, try to do a prayer after lighting the Sandya deepam with all family members. Make it a habit to have one meal together….all members of the family, when you discuss your day with each other. Always be a comforting presence for others with a smiling face. When problems arise, stay calm and work out solutions. Practice a quiet time at home before dinner. Let your spouse and children be able to see you as a leader giving them good guidance and route-maps. Hari Om.
