Hari om
I am really not aware of these customs in any temple . Also am not clear /convinced about the prasadam you received. I too am ignorant about these kinds of traditions and customs. Pls give me the details of the customs that they follow, then it is easier for me to help you find out the intention behind. Meanwhile Hindus should understand that every ceremony in our religion is meant to develop concentration on mantra and surrender to the divine with an attitude of service to the society. If this evolution or transformation happens an ordinary human being becomes a divine person.
