Pranaam Swamiji We got an opportunity to be associated with a satsang group which encouraged us to read Srimad Bhagavatam. The members of this group conduct Bhagavata Saptaham in their house at regular interval. i was very happy until i came to know from reliable sources that their Guru preaches one thing and he practices just the opposite. He happens to be a polygamist (he is married to more than 5 women). He also claims himself to be an avatar purush. As i am a student of Bhagavat Geeta, i could not digest this fact. When i happened to clarify my doubt with the members they didnot wish to discuss this topic and said that whatever i was doing is Guruninda. i stopped going in that group but i regularly read Srimad Bhagavatam. Swamiji, can you clarify my doubt? Is it wrong to make enquiry about a person before accepting him/her as our Guru? Can any human being claim to be a avatar purush?
