Pranam Swamiji, If nobody is there to do the last rights of the couple who have no children or relatives.. The funeral will be taken care by society or residence association, but 12th day karmas if nobody do, what happends to the soul. Will it wander here and there without getting new life. Pls advs.

Every athma continues it journey by virtue of the karmic burden it carries. Death rites are only a prayer by the children and family that the soul gets a better life and family to continue its spiritual journey. With or without such rites the athma will still progress as per its vasanas. Hari Om.
