Pranam Swamiji. Is there a proper way to ask for forgiveness from God, apart from just saying by words ” bhagavane I won’t repeat this mistake”?!. When I realize that I have over reacted , and spoke unnecessarily , I feel like asking sorry to god..Because I know I have hurt him. Pls help me. How do I ask for forgiveness?

You overreacted or said something unnecessarily, feel that you hurt God and want to ask for HIS forgiveness. Who did you say all those unnecessary words to? Do you understand that the person who listened to you, was nothing but God Himself. It is to him or her that you need to ask for forgiveness. It is often our ego that gets in the way of saying sorry, to a person that you hurt or created trouble for. Understanding the mistake is a big step, because often people justify themselves. But, it takes a lot more strength to say, “I know I did wrong to you, which has hurt you. I am sorry and won’t repeat it again”. Pray to Bhagavan to get the strength to say sorry to the person you hurt. Once you can achieve such power, you will see you are Bhagavan’s favorite, and HE takes care of you. Hari Om.
