Pranam swamiji. Is there anything such as ” kannu (eye) vekarathu” . I am sorry … Swamiji…Since I am a tamilian I don’t know the Malayalam word for it and not able to figure out the exact English word. Or shud I say keeping a bad eye…When someone has something which u don’t have. Like….For example a person may have big car, lots of money, may be in a good job and have family and children . So if this is discussed with a person and that person keeps a bad eye.( Kannu vekarathu) and says..Wahh wat eh big house he has?! And u know for sure..That the person’s intention or thinking is bad. Most of the people in this world believe in this thing called bad eye ( kannu vekarathu) . Can something like this really happen. Just because a person keeps a bad eye…Will the opposite person..Lose wat he/she has..Which they are jelous of? And in most the situation…It happens to be that…This thing ( kannu vekarathu) is True and does exist.

There are two aspects to this. One is the negative energy created by the jealous mind and send out into the universe. The other side is the vulnerability of a person to such an “Evil Eye” (that is the correct English usage). We all live in a network of positive and negative energy flows. What you attract is decided by your own nature and the aura you have. If you have a very positive energy circle around you created by Namajapam and positive thinking, no negativity can touch you. But if you live in doubt and fear, you will very easily be affected by the negative influence around. This includes bad comments other people make, bad reactions you face etc. If you have a very positive aura, the negativity used against you will hit back like a boomerang. So all you need to focus on, is to keep yourself resistant to such negativity. Hari Om.
