Pranam Swamiji, Our mind (individual soul ) came from universal mind or soul and individual mind has to go back to universal mind. and merge. This part is clear. But swamiji said that soul is our conscious thoughts.. It has only that much value ? We were under the impression that soul or atma is divine and it cannot be destroyed by water, fire, wind or weapon and it has no smell, color or roopa.. If individual thoughts are soul, universal thoughts are also the same. Pls clear our doubt. . .

Hari Ohm. If you understand consciousness and mind clearly you will never have this question in your mind. Observe your own mind deeply ,when you stop thinking what is remaining is your soul. When a thought emerge ,it is appearing in the consciousness. Then the consciousness and thought get together and we are forced to believe thought is consciousness. Actually thoughts and consciousness are different, thoughts are just appearances on part of infinite consciousness. Whatever is explained above is not easy to conceive. However if you practice japam for long time ,the mind will settle down which means it will be calm and peaceful. If one manage to practice to that level he will be able to understand what is Self
