pranam swamiji . Recently i came across a quote that said “If you are a giver, existence will give everything to you.If you are a taker, existence will take everything from you. .Giving is the only way to live. – anonymous. My mother is a person who always gives. Her nature is that. She gives unconditional love to everyone. She is a homemaker so doesnt earn money for herself, but still she is the most happiest person in our house. If there is extra food she gives it, if she buys anything for me, and i dont like it she gives it. Though we are middle class , she lives in a way a king would live. That is she does a lot of charity by way of food as well as timely help, even though we have had bare minimum for ourselves sometimes. I as a person from my childhood have always been a taking person. I always think of what i can take or get from a place, person, thing etc. So i have ended up being disappointed many many times. i am exact opposite of her. My question is , Is this law or quote true? NOW if i want to change myself from a taker to a giver will i succeed in doing so or will my ego stop me from becoming a giver. Is this a inborn quality that i have which i can never change? To be honest i have tried to be a giver few times and i have miserable failed at it, because of ahankaram, shyness etc may be. PLEASE CLARIFY SWAMIJI . THANK YOU IN ADVANCE .

Hari Ohm. You just ask yourself who gives us oxygen. If there is no nature can you think about air, water and heat? Then think about your food. So many people are involved in the process of cultivation and production, and in the market too. unknowingly, our ego imagines that money can buy fetch everything. But one day will come when we realize love and care is beyond our money. Look at the birds and animals. they are not surviving with money. They take from the nature ,feed their children and live together. Your mother’s selfless love and service will come back to you when you are in a tough situation. Then you will get help from unknown persons. Have a few tears for your mother’s attitude.
